EASY DAY HIKE 5.2 miles 1,850' elevation gain
best seasons: Black Butte is the
impressive volcanic feature looming directly above the traffic lanes
of I-5 at the highway summit at Mount Shasta. You can take
this trail around and up its rocky slopes. The very top is a
little scary clambering up the remnant foundation where the fire
